Meet Dana Rozycki of Rozycki Associates
June 6, 2017
Dana was born on Long Island. He moved to Shaftsbury in the fourth grade and feels it was a big step in the right direction. He now lives in North Bennington After graduating from Mount Anthony, Dana went to Bennington College for a year, and then to Southern Vermont College for a year and graduated from the University of Vermont. He received his M.B.A. from the University of Rhode Island.
Then Dana moved to Washington D. C. He worked as a contract manager for a Silicon Valley Company that did government work. He moved back to Vermont three years ago. As a federal contracts consultant, he helps companies understand the federal work place and the risks of not complying with the requirements in government contracts. He also helps them learn how to get government contracts. Most of his work is done via the Internet, by e-mail or over the telephone.
Dana's wife, Jennie is the Director of the McCullough Library. Dana and Jennie recently bought a home on Mechanic and George streets in North Bennington. Jennie was in the Catamount Rotary Club for a year which sparked Dana's interest in Rotary. As Dana has gotten to know Rotary he is finding out what individuals can do for the community. The great speakers that Rotary gets are also part of what Dana likes about Rotary. They give useful insight into things you only knew snippets about.
Dana is glad to be back in the Bennington area and see the positive things that are happening such as the Putnam Block Project.
Although his work keeps him very busy, Dana likes hiking in the summer and cross country skiing in the winter. He also does volunteer work for the McCullough Library such as sorting books for the book sale or helping with fund raising, assisting where ever he is needed.
Dana looks forward to his membership in Rotary as another way to help the community where he has always enjoyed living.
