Kristi is a native of Bennington, and was brought up here. She lived on Vail Road near the airport. She graduated from Mount Anthony High School in 1998. She was going to go to the Massachusetts College of the Liberal Arts for a couple of years to be a doctor, but then decided to go to Southern Vermont College to be a nurse and got her Associates degree. That, however, was just the beginning of her college work.
She went back to school on-line at the Chamberlain College of Nursing. She got her Bachelor's degree in 2011 and her Master's degree in 2015. She is now working on her doctorate.
Kristi worked as an RN in a nursing home and a little bit in Albany Medical Hospital. She got into a managerial position in 2009. She started working at BAYADA in 2012. She started as a field nurse was promoted to a clinical managerial position and then was promoted to director in 2014 which is a business position.
She is incredibly passionate about BAYADA. It is a family owned business. The sense of support that they provide their staff shows that they believe in their employees. Kristi noted that it is such a well run organization, it is a culture in itself. The goal of BAYADA is to keep people in their homes by offering a full range of services.
Her husband Dan is a stay at home Dad. Her daughter Eva is eight years old and son, Gavin is six They go to Bennington Elementary School since they live on Branch Street. She admires the staff at the school and is involved in the school activites.
Although Kristi is very busy with her job and her schooling, she enjoys being with her family and in running.
Kristi joined Rotary because she is commited to the community and wants to be more involved. She is interested in mentoring younger folks since she knows what it is like growing up in Bennington.
